...I haven't given up pursuing justice for the perpetrators at Duscur. But I've concluded that I don't need to carry out vengeance on my own, and to not let it define who I am. I know now that only I can determine who I am. And when I do find out who is responsible, they will be judged according to the laws of Faerghus, not my emotions.

I also no longer think that Edelgard had any part in it, now that I've had the time and the ability to think about it rationally, as well as what I've seen for myself during the war. I no longer harbor a vendetta against her; in fact, I no longer bear any ill will toward her whatsoever.
